Acupuncture is a branch of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that involves puncturing the skin with very thin needles at therapeutic points on the meridian lines to support the proper flow of qi. Proper flow of qi affects all parts of the body and includes your mental, spiritual and emotional health. This practice restores the body's natural ability to heal and self regulate organ systems, detox pathways, hormones and reduce pain and inflammation. Foundational guidelines within the medical framework of Chinese medicine allow for us to find the best pathway to restore your health in a holistic way through safe methods that have been studied and practiced for over 3000 years. Acupuncture is also one of the best ways to treat stress and is an excellent choice for preventative medicine.

Cassandra is a Dr. of Acupuncture and a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. She attended both Pacific Rim College and Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine where she learned a variety of comprehensive medical approaches to treating many health problems and disorders. Prior to this education, Cassandra completed in-depth training in Yoga, Massage Therapy, and Acutonics Sound Therapy. She has also spent over 20 years gathering knowledge on holistic health, nutrition, movement, and belief systems to find nurturing and effective modalities to help her patients. Her dedication to having expansive health knowledge was also helpful in her own health journey and recovery from heart, digestive, female health issues, pain, and injuries over the years. She is motivated to share her expertise with her patients to achieve the same positive outcomes she has personally experienced.

Cassandra’s acupuncture approach blends traditional and modern methods, incorporating Chinese Zang Fu theory, Five Elements, neoclassical and Japanese acupuncture (Kiiko Matsumoto techniques). She draws on her strong foundation in anatomy, massage, and movement to treat injuries, chronic pain, and wear-and-tear conditions with a gentle and integrative approach.

Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, while keeping your long-term health goals in focus. Her treatments may include acupuncture, cupping, light gua sha, Acutonics sound therapy, and customized herbal or dietary recommendations. Cassandra combines therapeutic treatment with education around lifestyle, and alignment of thought and intention which help facilitate health and a deeper sense of personal power.

Cassandra enthusiastically welcomes all clients with an attitude that is open, compassionate and engaged. She is a general practitioner with particular interests in injury recovery, women’s health, chronic fatigue and depletion conditions, emotional and spiritual trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress, depression, immune support, and digestive disorders. With regard to pain management she treats both acute and chronic disorders caused by physical trauma and long term illness or complications from surgery and medications. She also offers deeply relaxing and rejuvenating facial acupuncture, ideal for those seeking a restorative experience that supports both inner and outer well-being.

Paige is the owner and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, M.OMSc (Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences) at the Edmonton Metro Osteopathic Clinic.

Paige is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy which is a 4 year, full-time osteopathic program providing the highest standards of education and supervised clinical standards in Canada - she is also a member of the OSTCAN Association. Prior to her osteopathic education, she completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta, graduating with Honours. In addition, she holds her Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) certification with diverse experience in the fitness industry.

Paige is overjoyed to be providing osteopathic care to the Edmonton Metro area! She always knew she wanted to work in the healthcare field and was motivated to pick a path that was effective, scientifically based and logical. Paige noticed there was often a missing piece in providing care to people dealing with pain, disease, injury and those wanting help on their path to wellness; this motivated search lead her to principles based, Classical Osteopathy and she is enthusiastic about getting to the root cause of dysfunction, facilitating health and providing lasting and effective treatments. Paige’s goal is to help her patients get back to their activities of daily living, healthy routines, playing with their kids, enjoying the outdoors, sports they love, and all of the adventures in life!

When she isn’t at the clinic you can find Paige at her favourite place in the world - her family cabin, reading books and sipping homemade lattes, golfing or trying a new fitness class!

Brennan is an OSTCAN certified Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, M.OMSc (Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences) who has advanced Upledger CranioSacral Therapy (CST) training and has been a practicing manual therapist for nearly 20 years.

Brennan is a graduate of the 4 year Masters in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences program from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), where he recently had the pleasure of working as an intern instructor for a year. Prior to Osteopathy, he started as a registered massage therapist in 2006 then began his Upledger CST training in 2009. He then continued his CST education to include Somato Emotional Release, Advanced CST, and numerous other specialized trainings.

Brennan knows firsthand the tremendous capacity of Osteopathy and CranioSacral Therapy to facilitate self-healing within the body as these modalities played leading roles in helping him recover after numerous sports injuries, concussions and accidents. He uses his manual therapy skills to address the causes of bodily dysfunction in order to restore patients’ mobility, vitality and health. Brennan takes a whole-person approach to facilitating healing with patients - showing up and being present to support them through their unique challenges on their individual path back to wellness.

When away from the clinic, Brennan also enjoys unwinding in nature, reading a good book, cooking, working on his own personal and spiritual development, and having fun with friends and loved ones. He is also trying to get over a love affair with hockey one day at a time.
